Cat and Kagagi

Cat and Kagagi logo. A painted medicine wheel is beside the logo text, with the silhouette of a cat lounging on top of the circle, and a crow flying in front of the lower half of the circle. Animal prints are visible in the colored quadrants- a wolf in white/north, a cat in black/west, a crow in red/south, and a horse in yellow/east.

Welcome
A crop from a watercolor painting, "Three Crosses." The background is a wash of blues and gold, with the silhouette of three crosses in unpainted white. Surrounding the center cross is a gold-lined crown of thorns.
A watercolor painting of a figure painted in gold, standing on the surface of rippling water. Bubbles float up from the water around them. They hold their hands up, cradling a heart made of bubbles floating above them. The background colors of blues, purples, and pinks radiate outward from the heart in defined rays.

- Pope John Paul II

"All artists experience the unbridgeable gap that lies between the work of their hands, however successful it may be, and the dazzling perfection of the beauty glimpsed in the ardor of the creative moment:

What they manage to express in their painting, their sculpting, their creating is no more than a glimmer of the splendor which flared for a moment before the eyes of their spirit."

About Me

I am a writer, and an artist.

I invite you to look around this site

and enjoy what you find!

My art, my writing, and my life are all very

intricately woven together with my spirituals beliefs

in Catholicism. I'm a United States citizen, born and raised (though both sides of my family have recent members of the past who immigrated here from other countries - English and Irish on one side, and French-Canadian on the other). Within my French-Canadian ancestry, I have Native ancestry with the Algonquin tribe. Like many who live in the United States, I have found that these ancestral pieces of my life and heritage have had a huge impact on who I was growing up, and who I am now.

I'm an artist that dabbles in digital and traditional art, writing, and crafting. I started this business in 2018. Before then I was wandering a bit through life, searching for a direction to take my love and dedication for art, until finally coming to the realization that the best way to share that love was to do just that - to share it! So now I hope to share it with you.

One of my favorite quotes to date is this: "The world is not beautiful; and that, in a way, lends it a sort of beauty." I love to look at the world around me and imagine what could be. I seek to let my

imagination fly, and bring to life what might be

there just beyond our ability to see. I want to make

you smile, even if you might not feel as though you can. I want to bring out the beauty and wonder in small, fleeting moments, even the dark ones. The light of hope shines darkest in despair, and my greatest wish is to help that light be seen.
